PACCAR makes trucks somewhere in Europe I think......called a DAF.....saw one on tv once.....goofy looking thing.
Back in the stone ages when I was growing up there was a DAF car....it also looked goofy and ran on 3 cylinders.

DAF is a dutch truck manufacturer that was bought by Paccar because they (Paccar) had no skills to make their own engines. Paccar engine is a DAF engine.

Dear all,

Daf has been founded in 1928. In 1958 Daf started producing cars. This car was driven by a 2 cylinder air cooled engine with a variomatic transmission. Later they updated these cars with Renault engines (1.1 liter, 1.3 liter en 1.4 liter). In 1975 Daf cars was bought by Volvo. They produced the Volvo 46 and 66. Same body as Daf and also the Renault engines. Later they brought the Volvo 340 on the market. Also with the famous variomatic gearbox. The cars were produced in the south of The Netherlands. Later they produced the Volvo S40 and Mitsubishi Carisma in that same factory.

The truck division has been bought by the Paccar Company. Indeed, all engines are Daf engines! The trucks are very popular in Europe. Also the Spanish Pegaso brand has used the body of the Daf truck. Ginaf is a truck brand that also used the Daf cabine, it is a brand for heavy duty transport.
In the UK there was a truck brand called Foden. That was build in the Leyland factories.

If you would like to know more, please reply!

'I had hundreds of "hits" on your website which generated 5 or 6 inquiries from all over the world; Germany, The Philippines, Korea, Sweden, and Spain. I sold all 3 of my engines to a buyer from South Korea. Your website was invaluable to me in selling these engines; no other ads that I ran produced any inquiries.'

'We endorse and support your work. Because of your service I was able to sell my Cummins engine. I would gladly use Diesel Engine Trader.com in the future'

Jim Betts, Betts Boat Repair, Alaska USA

'Although there are other sites on the internet, DieselEngineTrader.com shows the equipment details very well, is maintained in a professional way and has helped us to sell engines. Keep up the good work!'
