Diesel Talk
I have a 1998 6500 GMC Flatbed dump. It has 330K miles on it but Cat did an in-frame rebuild 45K miles ago on the 3126B CAT engine. It was recently leaking oil through the front of the engine (timing chain cover). Apparently ran low on oil a couple of times and # 5 lobe on the camshaft is worn off. I'm trying to determine if it's worth repairing. The truck itself is in good shape except for the clutch. It has been adjusted as far as possible and needs a new clutch. I've looked at reman engines and used engines. Remans are high, used engines, I'm afraid of.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

'I listed a surplus Watermota diesel on DieselEngineTrader. It took a few months to sell, but I was delighted as the engine was quite obscure and I never thought anyone would buy it!'

John MacTaggart Dalintober Boats UK

'We sold a Turbo in 2 weeks to a guy in Houston! We also sold the first engine we listed - an old Hatz. It took 2 months to sell but that was OK as we couldn't move it locally. We track visitors to our website and we get lots from DieselEngineTrader.com. Your website really works, it's a great service and we'll be using DieselEngineTrader.com for years to come!'
