I am wondering if you have a 4-71 Detroit Diesel (looks like an older early 70s model, could be late 60s model) engine, would any edition of the Operators manual (6SE329) can be used? Looked on ebay and I find all kinds of revised editions of this manual. Example: Can I use a 6se329 1980 revised edition on an old early 1970s or late 1960s model 4-71? Is the difference in all these revised editions is just to add more printed info on newer engines that may have newer features? And if so, then do these manuals keep all the older info in them on previous models no mater how old? Thanks.

Same goes with the Service Manuals as well (6SE177).
