I have a 99 freightliner with a 3126 cat with very high miles. I am looking at purchasing a 2001 international with a T444E with 98,000 miles on it. The cat is listed to have 190HP and my boom truck weighs 24,500lbs and is governed to 65mph.

If the 01 weighs approx the same and is geared the same, how will the international perform in comparison. The T444E is listed as 215 hp. I do not know the torque of either.

Any advise or things to look for on the T444E would be appreciated.

'We've sold 7 engines in 4 months through DieselEngineTrader.com - one to Utah, three to South Dakota, one to New York, one to Kansas and one locally in Wisconsin! I also advertise in other publications but DieselEngineTrader.com gets the best results and at a great price too! I like the way that my engines are shown at the top of Google searches and DieselEngineTrader.com will definitely be playing a major part in my advertising from now on.'

'Listed a Perkins T6.354 on DieselEngineTrader and sold it after 5 month. With a listing fee of $5.00 per month and no commission, it was much cheaper and more effective than the magazine we also used.'
