Diesel Talk
Hello,

New to the forum and climbing a steep learning curve with diesels!

I have a Kubota D1101 block and just noticed some black soot which appears to be leaking out of the side of one of the injectors and accumulating on top of the block, then hardening into oa coal like substance. It has been there for a while as I inadvertently painted over most of it last fall. I don't have good engine access which is why I failed to see it.

Does anyone know what this is? I have pictures, but can't figure out how to post them??
