I have had a 2000 GMC Savanna one ton since new. My complaint has been the milage since new with the dealership. I average 15 mpg (canadain gallons). My previous truck a 95 GMC one ton aspirated diesel got me 22 mpg. Is this anyone else experience?

The turbo's get worse mileage. I have a many friends that had the 6.2 and got a few miles per gallon better than my 6.5. Also gear ratios, are they the same in both vans?

Yes both had the same gearing. I just drilled holes in the plastic air intake just so it can breath better. NO APPECIABLE DIFFERENCE. I am glad to see GM has stopped building this "diesel".

GM has not stopped building this diesel. It is my understanding that this 6.5 is still used in the military hummers and some other military applications. THe hummers for a few more years at least.
