Does anyone have any idea why my C9 keeps blowing the hand primer pump. It was wired in when I bought the machine. So I replaced it with a new one Genuine Cat part. Blew it out in a couple weeks. Now I have replaced it three more times . Same thing. Last one didnt last two days !! At first I thought they were unscewing and then popping out. but that is not the case. I have went so far as to clamp a vice grip on the knob to make sure it could not loosen. It actually blowes the plunger out and breakes off the threaded part that screws into the body. Cat doesnt seem to have any answers for me, but they are gonna have real trouble one of there times. When that thing blows it sprays fuel all over a hot combine engine in a drought stricken wheat field !!!!

Most likely a restriction in the fuel return line or a check valve in the return sytem. Better fix that or you will have other problems. I have seen this on trucks.

there is a regulator valve at the front of the engine or rear, depends where the return is, check to see what your fuel pressure is running at, maybe your valve is bad, or like in the previous post plugged.
