I have a cat c7 that is showing a battery error i try to hook up my cat software and cant even connect to the ecm? Do i have a bad ecm or what please help.... Also my gauges are just jumping up and down constantly.

It possibly could be a battery problem. Check all battery connections at the battery and starter. Make sure no cables are rubbing the frame or chaffing. How long have you been having this problem? Also you need to load test the battery as well.
