So I run a small placer gold mine in the Yukon and picked up a old Terrex Loader with blown 6v53 and one of the thoughts I've had is replacing the 6v53 with a 6v71 since the 71 series engines are a bit easier to find, my question is would the 71 be able to bolt directly to the Transmission in my Loader and if not is there an adapter kit that I would need? Would I have to change over flywheels? I'm not to worried about space or motor mounts I'm a welder by trade so fabricating something up should be easy.

If this can be done is there anything I need to be aware of or over looking in this conversion?
