Okay....I have a '98 Beetle Diesel with 114k on it. One day the excelleration died way down and we lost accelerating power. This happened very quickly...did not happen slowly over time. So our mechanic cleared out the turbo part/ got a lot of carbon build up out and said it would solve the problem. It did not solve the problem. I can have the pedal to the metal on the highway and still not really be accelerating. This used to be a peppy little bug. Any ideas what the trouble is? Also our dash electronics are dead so we cannot see the speedometer or gas reading....bummer. Any ideas on this? Broken wires? Have checked the fuses and all are fine. Mostly worried about the loss of power though. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Oh, by the way, we use a mix of bio-diesel and reg diesel.
