Hello

Ive got a terex pegson jaw crusher with cat 3116 engine, the problem is that it wont start without starting fluid (at all). Also im not sure if the fuel pressure is correct: about 1,4 bar at work and 0,25 bar when its not running (pressure created by using a hand pump). im adding a plate picture from engine . Plate I will be grateful for any suggestions

29 psi at full load is spec I believe it will start with almost no fuel pressure as long s there is no air in the fuel. These engines were bad for the injector coppers allowing combustion past the bottom seating area where the injector seats in the copper. That being said. If the engine otherwise runs fine once started. No misfire, good power no unusual smoke or noise and no air in the fuel going in to the cylinder head or no air coming out. I would suspect the governor, Crank engine. If engine will not start remove valve cover. Rotate fuel rack in the fuel on position and crank again. IF it starts right up and runs smoothly governor is not giving engine enough fuel at start up. You will see this condition once in a while. Though not real common. The most common problem is air in the fuel.

3116 notorious for check valve problems. There are at least two and maybe 3 check valves.
