Hello. I have a 2001 Chevy C8500 Roll back truck. I just did an oil and filter change and fuel filter change. I also changed the air filter. I am having an issue with low power. The truck weighs 28,020 lbs empty. It has a 10 speed transmission. When I climb a 6% upgrade I have to downshift 4 gears and then barely make it up at 20 mph. The turbo boost seems to be delayed. It is not just the boost. The whine of the turbo starts to kick in around 1600 but the boost at that point is just around 4 to 5 lbs. As the rpms get to around 1900 I get 22 lbs of boost. I have checked the waste gate to make sure it was fully closed. The hose that connects the wastegate actuator is is good with no leaks. The pipe from the turbo to the CAC and from the CAC to the intake is good with no leaks. Another issue is that the engine gets to 177 degrees and prety much stays there. I lugged the engine down as much and as long as possible and it barely made it up to 185 degrees. It also has a sound from the exhaust that sounds like a dead cylinder. Sort of the way a piston air compressor sounds. The engine has no blow byand does not use oil or smoke at all any time. My thought is that there is a dead injector and the lack of the exhaust pressure from that cylinder is causing the engine to need to run higher rpm to turn the turbo and get boost. How much boost should I have at an idle. With no load, i can rev the engine to 1500 rpm and never see any boost. I ordered Cat ET and am waiting for it to get here so I can do a cylinder drop out test. Does anyone have any Ideas while I wait for the software? Cat 3126 serial #CKM11010

Greetings! Looks like you are worried about your 2001 Chevy C8500 Roll back truck. Well in the beginning CAT used to provide the service manuals for the products but now they have abandoned the customers and have to buy service manuals. i bought one for my CAT from https://proworkshopmanuals.com/ you can try if you like to.
