In doing some routine maintenance on my mtu12v2000 my mechanic noticed the housing inside the turbo's are cracked. He indicated that the other engines turbo's might also be cracked. These turbo's are about $6500.00 each for a total of $26000. My question is how would they develop cracks? There is no leaking and the engines have about 1400 hours. Should I replace these turbo's?
