I am thinking of buying a 88 f-350 dump 7.3.. one of his employees put gas in it.. been sitting for 4 months... how bad is this? worst case senerio.. can I pull off the feed line on injectoir pump and hook hose to it from a 5 gal diesel can and try starting it? Jason

Did the engine run with the gas in it? These engines are more tolerant with gasoline than others. Drain the tanks, refill with clean diesel, remove the water separator if equipped, drain it, replace the fuel filter. Fill the new filter with Stanadyne fuel treatment, pour the rest into the fuel tank. start the engine and let it warm up. Drive it around and clean it out. It may need pump and injector work if it smokes and won't clear out. I'd run it for awhile if it was mine and see what happens. Putting fuel conditioner in the tanks won't hurt. Kevin
