I just put a new injection pump on my 410d heavy lift backhoe and they tell me one of the injectors is what caused it I tryed to pull them and there not coming oout any ideeas? Should I just call deere and have them come over and do it? ------------------------- heavy duty mechanic for over 8 years

Should be a pencil injector,, It will just be carbon built up on the bottom of the injector.. Get or make a tool that screws on to the top of the injector, and operates like a slide hammer. It will come out.. ------------------------- Have owned and run a truck repair shop for over 30 years. And still do.

On my 455 diesel 4 cyl 1956 I had to pull the head and tap them out from the back the gasket is $60. If you have the two part Turbulance chambers. (pre cups) or even called injector holders. The top half comes out then the bottom piece can be pulled by sticking a screwdriver Flat head type then turn it so it binds and have slidden a heavy wrench under the handle and use it like a slide hammer to tap tap up and that might do it. Or take a sharp drift and hit it to the side spinning it some to release it like on a tongue and groove fitting. We called it a toung and groove pin. But you screw up the copper washer gasket which should be replaced any way.. Phil

One more thing take the injector out just the nozzle leaving the two thread ends sticking up then put a chain on the bolt heads and put the nut back on of course. then slap the chain upwards and that will pull it. But you might still have the inner cup still in the head. Phil again! ------------------------- forgiven
