There has been much discussion about when the first Lister CS diesel was built and sold, now we really know that is was 1929 the number CS100. The book also tells how the CS 5-1 slow speed evolved from the old L type petrol engine which is why so many early CS engines failed. It was interesting to know how to tell the date of manufacture.
