The wiring on our Ruggerini powered shredder is in a very bad state where somone has used crimped connections but without having a crimping tool!
One wire from the item listed in ths spares sheet as Elettrostop (which appears to be a large solenoid) goes to the + terminal of the battery and the other has beome disconnected but there is a crimp terminal on the switched side of the starter solenoid where the wire has come out and it could be the wire from the solenoid, but that seems very odd.
Can anyone tell what the function of the Elettrostop is and how it should be wired?

This information is coming a little late and I hope you found help before now.

Yes the Elettrostop is a solenoid for automatically stopping the engine when the ignition key is turned off. It is a double coil solenoid, one is active only momentarily and the other is a continuously.

The wiring may vary some what on your machine but this manual should point you in the right direction.
