Diesel Talk
Good day to all,

I've been giving the go ahead when I get home to convert my 2004 GMC 3500 to a diesel, but, here lies the problem and I'm hoping someone can help me with the answer. If I buy an engine, it should come with the the starter and the necessary engine equipment. But I'll have to purchase new fuel lines and a new tank. Am I missing anything and is it going to cost me an arm and a leg? Any advice/ information will be greatly appreciated.

V/R Robert Petersen

Do not forget the exhaust system. It is usually alot bigger on a diesel. Good luck and God Bless!

I would think that it would be better and cheaper to trade trucks. I do not care for any of the EGR Diesel engines.

'It took 8 months to sell a Case engine that I listed on DieselEngineTrader.com - but I was very happy because it had been in our inventory for over 3 years! Was very happy with the price I got for it too!'

Rick Fulkroad, Flight Source Inc., Halifax, USA

'Listed a Perkins T6.354 on DieselEngineTrader and sold it after 5 month. With a listing fee of $5.00 per month and no commission, it was much cheaper and more effective than the magazine we also used.'

Chris Weeks, Old Forge Lake Cruises, New York, USA

'We bought a new John Deere engine via DieselEngineTrader.com for a great price and were able to sell it locally for $1000 less than our competition. We really appreciate the website - it's great!'
